The IgG Capture Sensor is based on a dextran matrix with a covalently attached recombinant fusion protein A/G on its surface to facilitate oriented capture or binding of antibodies from many mammalian species and almost all subclasses of human immunoglobulins. This sensor type binds only to the heavy chain within the Fc part and ensures that antibodies are bound to the surface in a specific orientation. Fab fragments are not bound.
