SPR High Capacity Amine Sensor
Description
The High Capacity Amine Sensor (HCA) contains a carboxymethylated dextran matrix covalently attached to the gold surface to extend the region where biomolecular interactions take place thereby increasing the surface capacity. It provides a hydrophilic environment and the basis for covalent coupling of biomolecules to the surface. The negatively charged carboxyl groups on the dextran allow ligand immobilization via its functional groups, such as amino, thiol, and aldehyde groups. Alternatively, a capturing molecule may be coupled for subsequent capture. The HCA Sensor is suitable for most general applications including interaction analysis of small organic molecules, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and oligonucleotides.
It is recommended to use the Amine Coupling Kit for ligand immobilization.
The HCA sensor can also be used for generation of a His-Tag Capture Surface by using the His-Tag Capture Surface Creation Kit.
