Sinapinic acid is a commonly used matrix in matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) for a wide variety of peptides and proteins. It is the preferred choice for the analysis of large proteins (10–150 kDa) and some polar polymers. Sinapinic acid is also suitable for the generation of in source decay (ISD) spectra of intact proteins.
The package consists of 5 single-use tubes à 200 mg sinapinic acid sufficient for the analysis of up to 10,000 samples.
The storage temperature is: 2-8 °C (35-45 °F).
Selected applications:
- Precise MW Determination of Intact Proteins by Multiple Charge State Analysis of MALDI Generated Ions
- High-performance MALDI imaging analysis of on-tissue digested proteins
- High-speed MALDI-TOF/TOF imaging of mouse brain tissue
